snow cones

old bull gaines, check those boys out if you can, they played with us on saturday night at t-bones, they are a rockin little 3 piece from greenville, (who left thier merch box behind, dont worry i got it)

i can remember about 5 years ago, before i even dreamed of having a band, i used to lay in bed and stare up at the ceeling, and tell my wife what players i wished were in a band with me, and david lane patterson was who i wanted on the bass, and in the summer of 05 it happened, thank you for all the gigs my brother, no one better to get drunk with than david lane, he used to look at me when we first got to the bar and try to guess what mood i was in, and then order me a drink to match (you know he's a professional bartender) but he could never figure out how long to warm up a truck stop burrito, i swear i've seen him blow up soooo many burritos, and then get pissed cause it happened, he would look at me and say "why does the package say 2 1/2 minutes" and i would just laugh

david lane has moved on, thank you for your time my brother, i love ya

now for myself, i've played from 150 to 180 gigs a year the last 4 years, and my little boy is almost 3 now, and i think it's time i take a break, i will still write songs, and even have the solo gig from time to time, i even plan on another record, but after we play what's booked, there will be a pause, my friend john mark spencer will be dancing with the bass,

and on december the 7th, (mine and larry bird's bday, and pearl harbor day) we will have fare the well party at t-bones, and lp and eric both said they would suit up for that one,

now on a lighter note

the circus guy just left my house, and he took hook, hooker is going to sell snow cones on the circus, and feed the lions and tigers,

i gave ol hook a great big hug

peace

Michael... I have to tell you first that family is honestly the most important thing that you will experience in this lifetime. Time flies.. no doubt. I just dropped my babies off at Kindergarten and then I blinked and picked them up from the Middle School. I don't blame you for taking time with your son. It's a choice you will never regret. Second I wanted to let you know that you are one of the most talented singer/songwriters on the scene today. I am going to wait for that day that you say you are back at it. Until then, I plan on wearing the silver off my CDs. Hug your wife, kiss your son and enjoy the ride. We love ya, man.
