let's see,

casey cainan brought a real live lion to my house, 4 month old, it made some crazy sounds, and scared my dogs, and me...not casey, he grabs her by the tail and picks her up and all kinds of crazy stuff like that

got to hang out with shad a little last night, always good to see that old bandit, and he's got a new killer tune he played for me

saturday night we will be at hanks in mckinney, johneballgame is gonna come out and jam with us, it ought to be fun

when i was in the
5th grade, i played 8 football games
6th grade, 9 games
7th grade, 8 games
8th grade, 8 games
9th thru 12th i played 10 games a year, that's 73 games, every single one of those games i had a running back named jason wear, he became my best friend thru those trying years of my life, and we made some memories that i will never forget and i cant wait to tell my boy about someday,

the first time i ever pitched him the ball, we were 10, he went 66 yards for a touchdown, it was against the cardnals in the breakfast optimist league, the last time i pitched him the ball we were seniors, last game of the year against mt. pleasant, he scored a 19 yard touchdown

we were 40-30-3, not really that proud of that, but i am proud of all those years with one of the coolest cats i've ever known

finally, we got to full band it again last week, lp made it back...with a bag full of stories, and some "worm wood" ask him about that stuff

we played t-bones, love that bar, might have been the best time i've ever had there, eric came out and jammed with us, crowd was cool as hell, (does that make sence) crowd was hot as hell, lots of friends showed up, and the staff is always top notch

this week we will be at dillions on friday night, so when you get tired of leftovers and hanging with the family, come on out to the bar, the classiest bar in town, where there is no fighting allowed, ever, what so ever

colby reese, from level rout is gonna be on guitar with us,

i want to thank tip jones and "fuzzy" from spur 503, of www.overdriveentertainment.com for taking us on, and doing a fine job at finding us gigs i must add, thank you guys for caring

i have
been to 2 funerals in 5 days, that really sucks,
and i am
tired of seeing my friends cry, so please be careful this holliday season, life is a precious thing

peace

hey there, i've been busy since my last blog, so busy i cant really remember what all i've done...oh well

i been playing solo shows the past couple of weeks, i really enjoy that (if the venue is right) but i am ready to get back with the boys, and we will be on friday night the 17th, we will be at t-bones in denison, that is if lp ever comes back from europe,

played love and war in plano the other night, solo, my old man and hook went with me, andwe brought back a hitchhiker, now i've been around a couple of nomadic musicians in my time, i mean the ones that look old and wore out, broke and busted, hungry and confused, and usually not doing what there doing by choice...this not the case with this fella, he had a cell phone, and business cards, a clean shave, nice clothes, and a martin guitar, anyways he sat in the van and told us of his adventures on our way home that night, me and hooker were real close to being drunk which made it all that much more better, ol hook asked him every question a hitchhiker needs to be asked, and before we dropped him off, hook gave him his pocket knife, the guy had one, but it was a small one, hook gave him a big one, and hooker told him "you'll need this more than me, and dont leave it laying on the side of the road somewhere"

last night i played a gig for ms. lin been, at her beautiful place called rancho friole, it was like a magical night, the kind that do not come around very much, i was set up in a green house, because it was too cold outside, the crowd was just like the waresville crowd, hangin on every word, great folks, nights like this one make all those other nights worth it to me, thank you rancho friole

today, me and the wife, took abe taylor to the zoo, i thought his eyes were going to jump smooth out of his head a couple of times, they got just as big as he could get'em,

i love to see him smile

see ya
