rolled in this morning about 6 oclock, we played a private party in sanger tx, for the hardcore chilly folks, great people, great party

they had us start at midnight, shad went with us and opened the show, it sure was funny to hear him sing all those serious songs with that goofy ass get up that my wife put him in, there's got to be a few pics floating around soon

we had mr colby reese playing guitar with us, he is the slinger for level route, and the dude can play, thank you colby for helping us out, and those guys (level route) are going in the studio with mcclure in november, so be on the look out for there new record in the near future

no more full band gigs until mid november, lp is going across the big pond for a few weeks, and he's gonna get married, congratulations to lane and hillary

but i do have several solo gigs lined up, even got one this wenseday night at dillions, just got that one today, double booking or someone cancelled or something, never the less i'll be there with all my songs

there's only a couple of people that can really pick me up when i'm all bummed out, only a couple of people that can hit home with me, shad blair is one of em, we did about 4 days of hanging out, lots of talk about music, started a bunch of songs, finished 1 (but i dont know what happened to it),but we mainly just listened to cds and talk about the old laughs, like the first time i met him....his cousin was my roomate (cody bowen) we were in ft.worth, it was late and we were drunk, me more than them, probably, and i lost 100 bucks somewhere, so in anger i threw my cheeseburger across the room, and it hit shad in the back of the head, then the room got silent, it was an accident, the burger slipped, i meant to throw it on the ground or the wall, i cant really remember, but i didnt mean to hit shad with it...we been the best of friends ever since,

last night i played waresville hall, solo style, great crowd, i cant say enough about that place, i had a blast hanging out with good folks,

if you have seen us play the last few weeks, then you would have seen eric has been jammin with us, it's good to have that old cat around, he's gona be making more apperances when he can

mr shad blair phoned me today, and since we are swaping songs wed. night at dillions, he's just gonna crash the rest of the week with us, and roll with us this weekend, so it sounds like it might be a long, late night week, we always stay up late telling lies,

now if i can keep hooker and his whiskey away, i might make it to work ok everyday

i have moved into my new "music room"

big room on the back of the house, where i can go and get away, i can turn the radio on past 10, i can even plug in my pual and not bother anybody...it is oh so cool, i wonder how long it will last, it'll probably be full of toys in just a few short weeks, or days
