friday night,

best crowd we've ever had in mckinney, we took those miles from nowhere boys with us, and they done a fine job, tommy said that the boys will be coming back,

that's what it's all about, that's why you drive those miles and play those free gigs, skip the phone tag and the stacks of bs paper, and just show what you got, how they gona turn that down,

saturday night,

first off i want to say congrats to my buddy willie payne, and his new bride sheri, they were hitched on saturday,

that night we played grapevine l&w, i had the shrimp, i think i should have got the nachos, jake told some old dude to f off, and lane done something i've never seen him do before, he heads but me in the chest, wayne in the arm, and then the wall, then he crawls up in the van, sits in his seat, the one by the big doors (where he always sits) and pops a beer, then he goes to the back of the van and curls up in the fetal position for the rest of the night, i wake him up when we get home about 4,...very un lanish,

yesterday

went to plano to watch linville and mcclure, but they were running a little late, and ol jake asked me if i could do a few tunes, you know to fill that dead air on the radio, so i just so happen to have my guitar on me, and i got to play 3 tunes live on the radio


now i'm off work until wed.
