i got those monday blues, and here it is sunday night,

good weekend, we played adairs on friday night and had a great time, played with the mo robson band, a kick ass band, and a bunch of great guys, we swapped cds and i think they got the shaft on that deal,

even angels fall- go buy it

always good to see grant, and he and his boys will be playing with us over at love and war in a couple of weeks

lets see,

the ride home a little shaky,
my good buddy wayne just left my house, he's been cleaning on charles (aka the van) where he left a little something in the back

some of us drink whiskey
some of us drink beer
lane drinks whiskey
some of us should stick to beer

it's funny how when i get a night off, it seams like the next day is worse on me than if i had a gig the night before, this is the 2nd time, actually the last 2 times that i've had a saturday night off i end up in a bad way the day after, here it is 11 o'clock and i'm just now feeling like my self again, needles to say i had too much of a good time at the pub last evening, the songwriter himself shad blair was in town, the beer was cold, good to hang out with bone (not so far from my home), and to top it off, me and lane took a shot of something that we had to blow the flame off the top of before we shot it...that's the one that's been with me all day

"Look out momma there's a white boat coming up the river"

good to be home me and the boys been wearing charles out, i mean wearin him out.

mt. vernon was cool, they dug us and we will be back there in a few weeks, (maybe that one drunk dude that kept hollerin, PLAY SOME COUNTRY, won't be there)

just got home from the elks lodge tonight, where we played the benefit for butch, and it was a smash, 23,000 $ raised, packed house, ran the bar out of beer, and we had a curtain call,(don't get those every gig)

and the wife and abe taylor was there

it was a good week

i hope this one is the same

hey casey, i'm looking forward to ya coming back home

i just wanted to throw my 2 cents in~someone said last night that out of all the artist in this stupid contest the MOB gets more airplay and the least amount of respect from the range! hmm! makes you wonder what the hell's going on!?!?!
if shiner bock records really wants someone who can sell their records and beer then they are for sure barking up the wrong tree!
also thanks to all the cats at love & war and the sound man!
steph

(my opinion is mine not the MOB's)
good morning,

just rolling in and i thought it might be good time to post a post

we lost a close battle the bands this evening, to the lost immigrants, and i must say the guys had a very tight band and put on a hell of show

thank you to all of those fine people that came out to support us, we appreciate it more than you will ever know, and most of all i hope you all get home ok

got me a rough couple of days coming up, actually in about 3 hours when my alarm clock starts hollerin at me, after all that we are heading to hanks in mckinney to set up sound, and then cruise down to l&w plano style for an acoustic set, then back to hanks so we can do it up right

so once again congrats to the lost immigrants, a bunch of good guys, and good luck to ya (watch out for some dude named shad blair, i hear he's pretty salty)

adios and good night

happy labor day weekend, me and the boys have hit it hard the last two nights, now it's time to lay back

the elephant was very cool on friday night, i think we won a few more souls over, thank you repeat offenders for coming back out,(brandon, megan, shawna)

last night we had another packed house here at home, thank you all for coming out, and thanks to my buddy taylor mosely for opening the show for us, i dig what you do

oh yeah, i met a dude at the elephant that's FREAKIN HUGE on the casino circuit, he's just missing one thing...a band, so he wants the M.O.B. to become his back band, you know and go on the casino circuit tour, vegas, shreevport, biloxi, he says he's huge around x-mas time, he covers ray price and hank sr., stuff like that.

me and the boys thought and talked and laughed... it's cool that he thinks that much of us, but

uuuuuh no thanks,
what would we wear

have a good week
and come see us in grapevine shiner competing in the 2nd rd thursday night 8:00 @ love & war
